Pretty cool!
Posted On Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at at 11:15 PM by JenandKyleHey guys,
My malpractice insurance was effective as of 12:01am this morning, making it possible for me to get to work, and as Jen said, I saw my 1st patient under my own license at 3pm today! It ended up being an emergency surgical extraction. It took a while with having to grind away bone and tie a suture and all, but I got it done and we got out of the office on time! Pretty exciting - now to set up the business account tomorrow so I can put the money somewhere besides my sock drawer :)
Kyle
First Patient
Posted On at at 1:27 PM by JenandKyleJust wanted to record that today at 3pm, Kyle will work on his first patient as an official dentist.
Exciting stuff!
Kyle has a JOB!
Posted On Thursday, July 24, 2008 at at 4:36 PM by JenandKyleIt's probably already old news by now, even though it only happened just half an hour ago. Kyle talked with a doctor who is looking to retire soonish. His name is Dr. James Kirkpatrick. Kyle interviewed with him on Tuesday, and it must have really excited Dr. Kirkpatrick because he really got on the ball talking with his friend who has done the associateship/partnership thing and talked with that guy's accountant who has gone through the whole process. He'll be getting 70% with no overhead, which will be really helpful while Kyle has only a few patients.
Anyway, it's exciting times. Kyle is meeting him on Monday to iron out the smaller details, but he finally has a place to work, so you all should stop brushing your teeth, so Kyle has lots of work to do. ;o)
Here's a picture of Kyle telling your mom. You can pretend that it is when he is sealing the deal with Kirkpatrick. I didn't want to distract him while he was talking with him.

Eric and Nicole's Trip to Mauna Kea
Posted On at at 4:32 PM by JustinHere are a couple of pictures from when we took Eric and Nicole to the top of Manua Kea. The first picture is of the Silversword a very rare plant that only grows on the side of the volcano. The rest of the pictures are of us playing around on top of the mountain. It was very very cold.
Aloha,
Justin.
This is a great idea...

Hello All!
Posted On at at 10:07 AM by JenandKyleI figured I would just join my name with Kyle's since I'll likely be the only of us to update. This should be fun!
Unfortunately, we have nothing to report of the job hunt, but soon, I'm sure.
Anyway, hope everyone is having fun.
